Colorado's elected leaders are working to ensure Space Command stays in the state. In an interview, U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers from Alabama claimed that President-elect Donald Trump is considering moving the headquarters from Colorado Springs to Huntsville,

Alabama was chosen to be the home of Space Command before being moved to Colorado Springs under President Joe Biden.

There is a possibility that Space Command could move out of Colorado Springs. In the final months of President Trump’s first term in office he announced the move. President Biden overturned the decision in 2023 and kept Space Command in Colorado Springs.
