Trump held off on direct criticism of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris while speaking with reporters in Valdosta, Ga.

During an afternoon press conference, Gov. Kemp emphasized a major culprit behind the state's death toll: falling trees.

Governor Kemp said he spoke to President Biden who offered resources, and he submitted an expedited emergency declaration to be approved by the federal government. He said it's been acknowledged by FEMA and he believes it'll be approved quickly.
