Two Nebraska softball players have won Big Ten Conference weekly honors. Jordyn Bahl was the Big Ten Co-Pitcher of the Week, and Ava Kuszak was named the Big Ten Co-Player of the Week. The two helped the Husker to a 5-0 record last weekend during the Troy Cox Classic.

The Big Ten Conference announced the players and pitchers of the week on Monday afternoon with two Nebraska Cornhuskers earning weekly honors. Juniors Jordy Bahl and Ava Kuszak each took home their first weekly award of the season with Bahl being named Co-Pitcher of the Week and Kuszak as the Co-Player of the Week.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska softball players Jordyn Bahl and Ava Kuszak were both honored Monday, each taking home a Big Ten weekly award. Kuszak was named Co-Big Ten Player of the Week, while Bahl was honored as Co-Big Ten Pitcher of the Week.

Ava Kuszak tied a Nebraska softball record in a dominant 16-3 victory over Montana, helping the Huskers extend their run-rule win streak to five games.

Ava Kuszak became the third Husker in program history to hit three home runs in single game as NU wrapped up a 5-0 weekend.

The duo helped the Huskers to that 5-0 finish with all five victories coming via the run-rule - that is, with the game being called in the 5th inning or later once a team takes an 8+ run lead after the trailing team has had their bats that inning.
