AMD says that it will not launch a 32GB version of the RX 9070 XT GPU, but that it will have an RX 9070 event on 28. It sounds as though both the vanilla and XT cards will launch concurrently.

Let's be real – the RX 9070 XT isn't remotely an RTX 5090 rival, but AMD is allegedly working on a model with 32GB VRAM. That's right. The red team is potentially pairing a mid-range GPU with the same memory as Nvidia 's $2,000 flagship graphics card, and I can't be the only one who finds that a little weird.

A 32GB version of this new AMD gaming GPU is reportedly coming with the same RDNA 4 architecture, but double the VRAM as the base model.

AMD might be planning a boosted VRAM version of its upcoming RX 9070 XT graphics card, with as much as 32GB of GDDR6. That’s 50% more memory than AMD’s current flagship, and equivalent to Nvidia’s $2000 RTX 5090.
