Went to Salem on Halloween this year and it was crazy. I have actually been to this museum twice and I think it is worth the visit. I was fascinated by the replica cells and the history of the tria…Full review by TinyTownQueen

Awesome job at their role playing. The tour it self including the role playing is about an hour. I gave them a 4 rating as I wish they had slowed down on the actual tour. I stayed behind to take pict…Full review by wallaceburgmarti2024

I have a trip to Salem coming up and don't want to miss out on the witch dungeon. I can't seem to find where to buy the tickets on the site or on trip advisor. Will we be ok if we just wing it. I just don't want it to be sold out!

Just wing it! Everyone who comes to Salem is looking for a different experience...I agree with nosae17 response but sounds like he's more of a history buff than "witch related". Witch …

Just wing it! Everyone who comes to Salem is looking for a different experience...I agree with nosae17 response but sounds like he's more of a history buff than "witch related". Witch trials were only 6 months time out of hundreds of years of history but somehow general public has latched onto this horrific time! Salem has so much more to offer than witches & tacky shops. Take a guided walking tour, check out the Maritime Park & Custom House, do a trolley tour or boat cruise, see Cry Innocent, visit House of 7 Gables, visit Peabody Essex Museum, check out street art in "The Point", visit Ropes Mansion...or if it's your thing visit the "witchie stuff". Walk...enjoy multitude of restaurants...its endless!. I live here and feel like I'm on vacation year round!
Q:
How much is admission?

This is not a museum in that there are display cases to stop, and read. You are brought into a large room with pews, and a stage. They perform a version of the witch trial. You then go downstairs to see what the dungeons looked like. If you were rich and could afford it you could have a room of your own. Poor people were crammed all into one small room. They show you the different cells and tell you about what those poor people went through. It was very interesting. They also have a beam on display that is from the actual dungeon that was used. The whole thing is about a half hour, 45 minutes tops.

Which museum is geared more towards children aged 7- 10- the Witch Dungeon museum or the Witch History museum? We only have time for one. Thanks
A:
I would say for that age group, the witch history museum. They both have mannequins but I think smaller children would better enjoy the Witch History Museum.
