This is a fantastic place to camp. The sound of the waterfall and stream make it an easy place to fall asleep. They have nice wooden platforms to get your tent off the ground. First come first serve …Full review by nicholasn955

There are a couple of hikes. You access the trails right next door to the park entrance. Last time I was there signs offered information. Somehow we took a trail that took us way up high, not just over the falls as planned. If you not afraid of heights then the one we did, the long one, is best. Hi Roy, My guess is about 1/2 hour. I am driving it in about the next week and will try to give you a more exact timing. If there is construction, the time can be much longer. It is a nice diversion if going to Chitina (it can be fun watching people dip net for salmon on the Copper River) but there are other waterfalls on the way to Valdez. If you make the drive, stop a Wenger's Store - a real, local farm store! Glad to see you are from Lynchburg - went to college there and have only been back one. Catherine
Q:
Can you park at your site or is it walk in? I will be camping in my car.
A:
Most sites are pull in but there is at least one platform site with limited parking space - should accommodate a full size car. There are pit toilets and a water pump.
