There is a 4.5 mile trail around the lake which makes for an excellent jog. Both lake and woods are pretty. This park can get wicked crowded, to try to go off peak (midweek/midday) if you can. Full review by montanapescado
When is the ice cream/food shop open this week. I left my black and white umbrella there andwoukd like to pick it up quickly.

Hi Roseanna, The ice-cream parlor at Burke Lake is open at the following times: Sept 8 - Nov-1 - Weekends only - 11 AM - 6 PM Nov1-April 2016 - Closed. I hope that you find your umbrella.
The website says they don't take reservations. Does this mean that I have to drive nine hours from Ottawa, show up and hope there's a spot to pitch my tent?
