Hi ClaireCalgary - we are hoping to go in the summer when the bunker re-opens. Your post suggests that it is possible to go round without being part of a guided tour. Is this correct? I thought that being a tour member was mandatory. Thank you

Yes; must be part of a tour, either a group tour or an individual tour. Both options must be arranged/reserved in-advance; be sure to highlight your language preference. The group tour takes roughly 1-1 1/2 hours. This is a "must see" in Berlin. I'm keen to see the new installation. Good Luck.
