Many people do, but please stay away from the dunes - there has been a lot of work to try and stabilise them, but it will only work if people let them be, and don’t set fires in amongst them! There is a reasonable number of bins in the busiest car parking areas, for disposal afterwards, but again, use common sense & make sure they are fully extinguished or the bins melt.

We did not pay to go on the beach. There is a car park alongside it but it was busy so we parked on the main road and walked to the beach. Quite a few people walking on the beach and a couple had dogs. An opportunity to see lots of independent shops/cafes too, such a change to the typical high-street stores. I hope you manage to get to visit there sometime.
