I am being solicited by NAMI CT for donations for a walk that want to hold at the island in May. I have heard that they have not obtained a permit to assemble yet. Is this true? Do you need a permit? I am reluctant to contribute as I don't think they have everything in order. I wish someone could get back to me to answer this question. They are doing extensive advertising and collecting money towards the cause.

You do need a permit. The park office number is 203-226-6983. They can tell you if a permit has been issued.
