We enjoyed our visit to the mounds and the museum. We also walked the Douglas Nature Trail, which was shaded, pretty and well-kept. There was a scenic River lookout at the end as well. Full review by spunkytigrr

The first mound that has stairs is not accessible for wheelchairs. And I do not remember if the one that is by the museum is either. However, I thought it was but my husband said it was not. You might want to call just to me sure. If your father can't even access one mound it might not be worth it to you. But you could still go and look at the Native American village and the museum. It would come down to how important is it for your father to get up on a mound. To me it was the highlight of the trip. If there are no ramps when you call it would definitely be something to bring to their attention. I believe the mounds should be accessible for everyone.
