Great views and the trail was well marked, but it was very steep and rocky so good shoes and or boots are a good idea. Not for frail folks. Super views of the Superstitions and back towards Phoenix. …Full review by BillUsma74

In the park, roads are paved. Driving past the park there are side roads and hiking trails that are not paved. The Apache Trail continues on to canyon lake, apache lake and to Roosevelt lake too. The pavement ends along the way, but the road is not bad for vehicles under 30 ft. Lovely drive. Wonderful area.
