This place is awesome. There is a lot of walking involved as it’s on the side of the mountain. At the top is the theater and it’s worth the walk. This kind of history is amazing and can’t be replac…Full review by Flyingboy58

Q:
do you have guides there at Delphi that could take a group of 18 around and how much would that be?
A:
I did not have any guide. Delphi is a small village and visiting the sites and archeological museum is straight forward. A guide maybe organise at the gate of the site.

National roads of Greece are fine. You should rent a car from athens, go to Kalabaka and stay there for the night. Visit the monasteries early in the morning. No need for a guide there, the monks will tell you everything you need to know. Then drive up the national road, pass Lamia and take the regional road through Amfissa to Delphi. Stay in the village of Delphi, but don't miss a dinner at Zahos' tavern in Livadi and a late night drink in Arachova. My personal favourite is Husky, a rock themed bar on a small side alley. Visit the archeological site WITH A GUIDE. The place you want to visit do not have frequent bus connections. You will miss valuable time and will get tired trying to figure out local bus connections. I dont think there is a direct bus or train connection of Kalabaka to Delphi, both towns are not the main ones in the region. Rent a car. Enjoy! Ps: spend a day or two in Athens.
