It is worth the long ride to see mother nature at its best. Be careful walking along the path because of how steep it is and the dropping from the donkeys. Very enjoyable.Full review by richj65

Portuguese Bridge is a must-stop site if you are near Debre Libanos Monastery. Cross the bridge by walking to the best viewpoint where you can enjoy one of the picturesque scenes around Addis Ababa!Full review by mulukeng2016

If you are only in Addis for one day you probably don’t want to waste it driving up to the Portuguese Bridge even though I highly recommend the trip. It would take about 5 hours of your day to drive to the bridge, spend an hour there and drive back. Driving up to Entoto Mountain would be a much shorter trip. It has wonderful views of Addis and a very cool temple/monastery and Ethiopian museum to see on top. Going into downtown Addis to the Edna Mall is definitely fun too. If you have never spent much time in Ethiopia before I would also highly recommend going to a traditional Ethiopian restaurant to have traditional food and watching traditional Ethiopian dance. Have fun!
